ABOUT Marisa

It has been over four decades since Marisa observed the “pretty” women at her parents finishing school. Today, she sees a need for a different type of training for women – a modern approach to personal and professional development. An education remains critical, however once a woman has the degree, she needs to have the ability to deliver her accomplishments, skills and talents with confidence and conviction.

Marisa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College with a double major in International Studies and Italian Studies. While studying at Dickinson, Marisa was deeply involved in college life, leading various organizations that focused on women. As a senior, Marisa was selected to join Wheel and Chain. The organization is a women’s honorary society founded in 1924 to recognize Dickinson women with demonstrated leadership skills, fine personal character and active involvement on campus and the local community. These women serve as catalysts for women’s empowerment on campus while promoting other women’s groups and causes. Marisa was an active member of the 100th anniversary committee in 2024 and remains active with the organization today.

As Marisa began her career, she has always found a way to give back. In her college application essay she quoted Ralph Waldo Emerson’s poem, “What Is Success” stating that “to know you have made one person’s life easier, this is success.” This has been a core mantra for her as she found ways to get involved in her local community. Volunteering for Serviam Girls Academy as Chairwoman of the Board, a volunteer for the Ministry of Caring, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware, The Fund for Women, Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation and most recently the First State Ballet Theatre, Marisa is passionate about designing long-term ways to help improve the lives of women and children so that they can be independent and successful.

Marisa is excited to grow and develop “Present Best”. While still maintaining her professional career she is passionate about the extent to which “Present Best” can help women accomplish their goals and dreams.
